The pink bathroom

This is the bathroom of Eddy Sackville West who lived in the gatehouse of Knole House, Sevenoaks, Sussex, UK.

He was chosen to inherit this huge castle which was the birthplace of Vita Sackville West who couldn't inherit it because of her being a woman.

They both suffered from it.

Eddy felt the responsibility as an enormous burden and Vita was sad to see her much loved Knole go.

Eddy made a room of his own in the gatehouse so he didn't have to come in the castle itself so much. He was a ,music critic, wrote books and was a friend of Virginia Woolf, Vanessa Bell, Duncan Grant and others of the Bloomsbury Group.
