Finely
finished my Angel, it was quite an undertaking!!
The idea
was that I wanted to do something with a technique that was used by Leo Gestel
and his friend Jan Sluijters ( look them up please!) to paint flowers that
stood in front of a flowered background. The flowers were abstracted and it was
sometimes very hard to see what was what.
I wanted to
incorporate my own wallpaper and felt drawn to a painting of Gestel in which
this technique wasn't used.
